Advice for all Cosmetic Treatments .

  • Please wear normal make-up to the clinic on the day of the treatment.
  • Do not drink alcohol the night before your treatment.
  • Since delicate skin or sensitive areas may be swollen or red, It is advised that you do not make social plans for the same day.
  • Do not take aspirin, ibuprofen, or Coumadin for two days before and two days after the treatment. However, you must not discontinue any medication before consulting your doctor

Microblading Pre-Treatment Advice.

  • Any waxing should be performed at least 48 hours before the treatment: Electrolysis no less than five days before the treatment.
  • Eyebrow tinting should not be undertaken for two weeks prior to the treatment.

Eyeliner Pre-Treatment Advice.

  • Any eyelash tinting or eyelash perming should be carried out no sooner than one week before or two weeks after the treatment.
  • Do not wear contact lenses during or immediately following treatment. Remember to bring your glasses. You may resume wearing your contact lenses as soon as your eyes feel comfortable. (This is normally 24 hours after treatment)
  • Use ice pack provided to keep swelling down and promote healing.

Lip Contour/Lip Blush Pre-Treatment Advice.

  • Permanent Cosmetic treatments do not cause cold sores, however if you carry the virus, it lays dormant in the body and can be aroused by the treatment.
  • If you do have history of cold sore virus (herpes simplex) we advise you to buy aciclovir available at Superdrug. This is one of the most effective ways of treating cold sores
  • Alternatively contact your doctor to obtain proper prescription medication to prevent outbreaks
  • Lip wax of bleaching treatments should not be undertaken for at least a 2 weeks period preceding your permanent cosmetic treatment.

Phi Tattoo Removal .

  • Avoid drinking any alcohol for at least 24 hours prior to treatment.
  • We advise you to take one anti histamine before treatment to help reduce swelling and redness.

  • Avoid any blood thinning medication including ibuprofen and aspirin (unless it is prescription)
  • 2 days prior to your appointment Drink 2/3L of water per day
  • Don’t drink alcohol the evening before your appointment
  • Eat something prior to your appointment
  • Preferable schedule your appointment at least 4 weeks before and special events
  • Its recommended to take arnica tablets to reduce any swelling and bruising
  • If you are prone to cold sores, please take acyclovir tablets for 2 days before the treatment

  • Please let your skincare specialist know if you are on any medication (topical and/or oral) if you have any medical conditions, or are being treated by a physician for any conditions.
  • Let your skincare specialist know if you have been diagnosed with cold sores or Herpes simples.
  • No shaving, laser treatment, peels, waxing or aggressive exfoliants a week prior to Dermaplaning treatments.
  • You should wait 14 days after receiving Botox or Dermal Fillers to receive Dermaplaning treatments.
  • Avoid sun tanning or tanning creams/sprays for at least 1 week.
  • Do not use Retin-A or other exfoliating creams 24-72 hours before your treatment.

Skin Peel Pre-Treatment Advice.

  • Use of AlumierMD home care products prior to your peel are recommended to prepare the skin, allow for better treatment results and reduce the risk of complications. Please consult your physician or skin care professional for appropriate recommendations for your skin type and condition.
  • Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds for at least two weeks prior to treatment.
  • Avoid the use of retinoid products (e.g. Retinol, Retin A®, Tazorac®) and high levels of AHA and BHA products for approximately 7 days prior to treatment. Consult your physician before temporarily discontinuing the use of any prescription medications.

Plasma Pre-Treatment Advice.

  • If you are prone to keloid scars this treatment is not the best option for you.
  • Let your skincare specialist know if you have been diagnosed with diabetes, healing disorders of lymphatic draining issues.
  • If you have eyelash extensions and are going to have the plasma treatment around your eyes. Please ensure they have been removed prior to the appointment.
  • If you have caught a sun tan it would be best to postpone treatment for 6-8 weeks until tan signs disappear.

Aqualyx Post Treatment Advice.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY AS THE  POST TREATMENT RECOMMENDATIONS ARE AS IMPORTANT AS THE TREATMENT ITSELF

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

  • The treated area should not be exposed to direct heat (sauna, sun etc.) or severe cold.
  • Physical exercise should be avoided for at least 4 to 5 days.
  • Application of cosmetics to the treated area should be avoided for at least 12 hours.
  • Taking anti-inflammatory drugs such as Ibuprofen should be avoided.
  • Adhere to nutritional protcol.
  • Bruising may develop within the treated area. This is normal.
  • Itching and burning sensations as well as a feeling of pressure may occur.
  • Swelling in the treated area can often occur within the first few days.
  • Compression garments such as "Spanx" may be of assistance post-operatively.
