Working in the industry of hair, beauty and aesthetics, I have seen a shift within the industry and experienced first hand the power of aesthetics.
I often get questioned on why I would have treatments and come under scrutiny of others who have voiced opinions on individuals having treatment so young and ‘not knowing the implications in the future’. I have always been honest and open with what treatment I have had to help other women and younger women, by having more understanding into the world of aesthetics and permanent make-up.
As every individual is, I was conscious growing up, I felt my face never had much shape and was unbalanced but I couldn’t put my finger on why. I began having my brows microbladed along with permanent eyeliner and lip blush. This instantly gave me confidence without make up as I felt I had more definition to my features.
Through all my teenage years I had suffered with problematic skin and thought I’d tried everything to help my acne.
However, I didn’t realise the importance of cosmetical skin care and treatments, by using the new knowledge I had learnt, my skin rapidly began to heal and clear.
Cheek filler changed my life. I had always wanted to achieve the ‘contoured’ look as noticed on women in social media who had defined cheek bones and jaw line. To create the look, I desired on myself I had, cheek, lip, jaw and chin filler. I felt instant gratification and happiness, as though all my insecurities had instantly disappeared.
I would advise if you’re thinking about having any form of treatment to just go for it. It has given me so much confidence and given me a better quality of life as I’m not self-conscious. For me it was never about social media pressure to look a certain way, but to be the best version of me, which every single person deserves.
I don’t think age matters, as a young adult, it is important that you find a professional, trust-worthy practitioner with real integrity who could advise me on what treatments would benefit me the most.
